Formulation based on a polymerised acrylate and polyurethane dispersions. It is a One-component coating, ready and easy to use and with optimized drying characteristics. AquaSeal EcoGold has excellent filling and flow properties. Giscod: W2+

Special instructions

AquaSeal EcoGold generally has a good adhesion to different primers, including AquaSeal FlexPrimer, AquaSeal ExoBloc and SolvSeal UniQuickPrimer. Oily wood species (tropical woods) such as teak or olive should be primed with AquaSeal ExoBloc. Dark wood species such as cherry and pear should for appearance reasons (nicer grain enhancement) bee primed with AquaSeal ExoBloc. The use of AquaSeal EcoGold on cork also permitted.

Application

Can be applied by roller, brush or cross troweled in 3 uniform coats. Highly absorbent wood species, for example beech, maple and ash must not be troweled but roller-coated!

Special advice

Unlike conventional solvent-based finishes, AquaSeal EcoGold should be applied in rich layers. The material should not be excessively spread with the roller.

Drying

In order to avoid excessive swelling pressure, we recommend only one roller application of the coating per day so that the wood has sufficient time to release the absorbed water. The coating, in general, can be sanded and carefully walked on after about 3-4 hours (23°C/50% rel. humidity). Insufficient ventilation, low temperatures, high humidity or thick coats may delay drying considerably. Do not expose to wear, cover with carpets or apply care products for 8-14 days.

Before the last coat of varnish, we recommend intermediate sanding with sieve G 120.

Consumption

Depending on floor surface and method: 1 trowel coat as intermediate filling: approx. 30 ml/m² or approx. 35 m²/l 1 roller/brush coat: approx. 100 ml/m² or approx. 10 m²/l
